Tag As FavoriteComment		I am fascinated by the growth development of ficus and mangrove trees of Asia and try to study them artistically as much as I can. This work is referenced from a photo I took from the roof of the Meseu du Macao during a trip to Asia in May of 2002. Initially, I wanted to portray the tree exclusively, but certain portions of the photo seemed to remind me of other dryadic imagery I have seen. In any case, one thing after another encouraged me to pursue this portrayal of a Dryad and her tree... Hopefully it is to your liking!

If you view this from far away (as in the icon) it looks like there's another face in the leaves between the two trunks... That's... Amazing. Did you mean for that to happen?
