I love the shading, it ads depth to the background colour, and i really like how you can draw a pose like that! *raises from seat and does happy round of applause* Ben R Sloan replies: "*dances an irish jig* Whew that was refreshing.Thank you very much for the comment."

| 18 Oct 2005 | Dragon expert | Loading...*shrugs* Eh, not bad! I think it has good shading(try adding a shadow), but the dragon eyes COULD stand to be a little more relistic,it looks like its zoning out, lol. The knight is very good, but it looks like you copied and pasted the picture of it onto the dragon (no offense) because it is so good and the dragon is,well, bad(again, no offense!). Try to make the flame more vibrant and less even, 'cause fire is wild and spontaneous, not organized and predictable. TRY to remember that the front legs are (and you may dissagree) supposed to look like backward knees(kinda like bird legs) rather than human knees. And the back legs should look like the front legs on your picture, except maybe with longer mid-foot(dragons stand on their toes alot of the time). Keep workin'! | |
| 4 Dec 2005 | J. B. Tomczak | Loading...The shading is awesome, the knight looks wicked but way out of place. I kind of had to snicker at some of the other comments...dragons are mythical creatures, for all we know they could have been bright pink, one-eyed, and toothless. He IS stiff (I also have that problem) but you're new to drawing and I think you're coming along really well. I do suggest maybe trying to make the two pieces of the drawing (knight and dragon) look more like they belong together. | |
| 9 Dec 2005 | Kelly Duncan | Loading...It's interesting that most of the other people posting comments have encouraged you to more realism in this picture; personally, I'd like to see it go the other way.
Since this drawing already has a very stiff, very stylised feel to it (much like the illuminations in medieval texts), it would be interesting to see what you could do with it if you took it even further in that direction.
| 21 Jun 2007 | Hazel naomi swanson | Loading...Its a great picture and like they ^ say a dragon can look like whatever you want it to.The only thing i have to point out is that the patch of wing on the other side looks like its taught so the dragon wouldnt be able to straighten his wings. Other than that its a great picture. Keep drawing! ^_^ | |

can you really dance an Irish jig? I can! wow it's hard to find a guy who can even distinguish irish dance from tap dancing let alone dance it himself...
| 2 Oct 2007 | Wendy Bittnerová | Loading...Nice job on the pose... there's a lot of movement in this piece... and the knight is well-proportioned.
Nice pic! Smiles - Wendy
