First off, I think this picture is a good beginning, since you've only recently began drawing. But I think you should've shaded the trees in curving patters, to show that they are round.
Also, you should make the characters a bit darker, because at first glance, it seems as if there are only the trees and the hunter. The 'dog' ((dude, that's one cool dog xD)) is very light and unnoticeable =/
And lastlyyyyy:
Maybe you should make the hunter focusing on his aim? A stretched out bow and no focus= disaster o.o
