Post-apocalyptic world. Why is this girl alive? Are there others? That's a story left for your own imagination to figure out. Although, I may write something to go along with this one someday. It was fun!

This is my first fantasy/SciFi piece in a while - I hope that all the practice I've been getting is starting to show. Constructive criticism is appreciated - I'm on a quest recently to really better myself! Thanks!

Made entirely in Photoshop.

Newer version uploaded 07/17/04. More contrast was added to the sky, as well as some detail to the buildings and the water. This is a beautiful piece that was being butchered by bright monitors. Now it should view well at just about any brightness.

wow, this is a very nice piece,
All alone in a broken world.
Why did we ever put our faith in god?
In the end I heard them crying,
Crying to Him.
Why?
If we had only put our faith in ourselves,
Then maybe he would still be here.
What has god ever done for us?
If he is even real,
Then he abandoned us long ago.
If he is real,
Then he hates us.
That is if there are any left but me.
All alone in a broken world.
Staring out across the water,
At a dead city.
i hope you don't mind, but very few pics can inspire poetry from me. again very nice.

This is great! It fills me with a sense of both fear and hope for the character. It's bittersweet. I wanted to let you know I'm going to put this in a tour called "First Impressions." Keep up the amazing talent! :0)

This reminds me of a character I saw in a webcomic. Of course, he was a guy, and his world hadn't come to an end. Mostly.

Ah, ignore me. Tis a lovely piece of work, and thou hast my congratulations.

The color of her hair absolutely makes this picture. Especially contrasted with the darkness and decay of the background; she is a survivor, strong and willful. I love this.

Beautiful! I especially love the way you did the sky (very lovely) and how vibrant you made her hair. Very nice contrasts 1
