This here is an example of where my work is at right now, at this very moment. It's been aaaaaages since I've uploaded something here, so I thought it'd be nice to upload something new and exciting that I'm still working on.

I introduce you to Serranuesseth, a prime example of the contemporary dragon. In the world I am ever so slowly building, the one feature that separates the draconic kin from all others is how they evolve and adapt to their surroundings. Most creatures, including the magical ones, evolve at an individual level: if the organism does not fit the environment, the organism dies. The dragons in my world, however, evolve on a cellular level. If a cell, or a group of cells, like an organ or a limb, are hindering the individual dragon's quotidian survival, they too die as an unfit organism would.  They have a unique, magically-charged growth in their heart, known as the fifth chamber, that autonomously analyzes how much a certain body part is taxing the circulatory system. If it uses too much, the body part is starved of blood, and is either shed off or re-absorbed into the dragon's body. Woe betide one who enrages a dragon who has lived in the same environment for centuries. Chances are, they have adapted so intricately to their home that they are the closest an organism from any species can get to perfection- no longer a creature, but a quasi-natural process.

Serranuesseth was once capable of flight, but circumstances forced him to take refuge underground. His fifth chamber deemed his wings useless, and slowly they developed into the spidery "climbing pick" limbs you can see sprouting from his back. The extra three pairs are capable of holding his bodyweight on their own, so whilst climbing in subterranean caverns Serranuesseth can use his original four limbs to do whatever he so pleases with them.

I'm still sketching this one at the moment, so hopefully I will get back here and publish the finished design once I am truly done. Anyway, enjoy!

Great line art, you add some color and this will be a great little piece. I like it without as well tho,the body shape is good!
