Finally a Harikku (an oriental dragon-anthro critter) in full-body rendered glory! This would have to be the best single piece of my work to date...woo! The shading was fun but it took me *yonks*. But I am more than pleased with this. I really like the weapons he's wielding but unfortunately one of them didn't fit on the damned page! When attacking they use similar movements to Kung Fu and Karate instead of just hacking and slashing. This guy unarmed is deadly, but when armed he's deadly *and* painful...now go my Harikku, and kick some chameleon a$$! XD Oh, if anyone knows of a similar weapon that actually exists- please tell me! They're not qatars, but they're also not elbow-blades... Harikku concept, including garb and weaponry, is copyright (Melissa Anderson)
UPDATE: I've decided to name his weapons 'Phoenix Blades', coz the pointy bit looks like a beak and the long blade looks a bit like a wing. Whaddya reckon?

I like the composition and that agresive stance. It is nice.

Hi, its me again. This is one awesome picture no wonder the shading took you ages! I love everything about this drawing, the dragon flows wonderfully and the way you have emphasised the muscles is just fantastic! The weapons are also great! Keep it up

1 JV Different replies: "Hey- thanks heaps for dropping by yet again! Yeh I really love this picture- honestly it took me a week (but not in the one sitting though!) and was *kinda* bummed out when the mods didn't pick it...oh well- moving right along! You guys out there like it and that's what counts! I'm so elated that you like him! Keep your work up too!"

Hi, very cool art. The anatomy is amazing, and the pose is really well done. Great job on the shading too.

13 JV Different replies: "Hi to you too! Wheee- thanks for commenting! ^_^ This one took ages coz of the shading- but hell it looks so much better than my craptastic line art...heheh. However at the moment I'm lost over whether the tiny 'spur toe' should go on the foot- inner foot or outer? O_o Anyway, must stop yabbering- thanks muchly for the comment! "

their are real weapons like that, but i cant remember what there called... anyway, the anthro flows really nicely, and the blades follow the demonic nature. Keep it up!
