SciFi and Fantasy Art Breeze Walking by Ngaire J Snow

Zephyr the breeze walker is a fairie who drifts on those warm balmy breezes that usually arrive about midsummer-ish. She can be mischievous & playful & is often the cause of your sun hat being gently blown into the village pond or when a mild wind turns the pages of your book or ruffles your new hairdo. If you listen carefully you can hear her faint musical laughter as she steps quickly away onto the next passing breeze. If the wind drops away suddenly she then uses her wings to soar upwards searching for her next ‘walk’. Breeze Walkers are about 6 inches tall & can be found worldwide, particularly around lakes, hence the faint ripples on the surface of the water which they love to glide over on the airwaves. They follow the warm summer breezes around the world, never bumping into winter…so they probably wouldn’t know a snowflake fairie if it bit them! This was a small ballpoint sketch which was then, of course, photoshopped!
