I heard about Sculpey and wanted to give it a try. I think the little guy turned out alright. ^^ He's about 3 inches long, and about 1 1/2 inches tall. It was painted with Acrylic paints.

Now that’s a nice friendly dragon I’d like to see in some clay animation.
I espesially adore how you did his feet. ^_^

I have always wanted to try sculpting in some media but it looks so hard, maybe you can give me some pointers, you seem to have a nack for it! Cute dragon and I love the colours you used on him!

:-) Sarah Cluck replies: "Thanks!! I’m still working on getting better with Sculpey, but I can tell you how I made this guy. ^^ I tightly rolled up a sheet of foil for the dragon’s body, and took two smaller rolls of foil and set them over the first roll where I wanted the feet. Then I happily smashed the ends and turned them so they’d look more feet-like. ^.~ After that I covered it in Sculpey, rolled some Sculpey out into long thin ’snakes’ for the hair, and used my sculpting tools for the rest.
There’s lots of good tips all over the internet too. ^_^ Good luck!!"

Cute! now he just needs tentacles. ^_____^

:-) Sarah Cluck replies: "Oh, that’s what he’s missing! XD Now I think of how I could’ve done that. ^_~ LOL Thanks!!"

:-) Sarah Cluck replies: "LOL XD I love him! He’s so funny, doesn’t do that tongue-thing, and... XD Yay! Thanks!! ^__^"

sculpey can be really fun to work with. 2 I especially like what you did with the mane and tail. There’s something really pro about this -- like it could be used as the decorative handle of a child’s dresser or something. --makes me think of Ikea furniture (dunno if you’ve got Ikea -- we just got our own store around here, and mom and I are obsessed with it. ^_^)

:-) Sarah Cluck replies: "I don’t have Ikea, but it would make a cool handle! XD
I hadn’t thought of it looking like a handle! That’s cool! Thanks!!
Wouldn’t that be fun to have little dragons crawling all over your dresser? I might do that. I’d get the stronger sculpey though. ^_^"

Oooo, interesting! Now I want specialmade dragon-handles on my drawers! Or like >.< Al and Ed’s heads O.O
lol, stop me!

:-) Sarah Cluck replies: "LOL xD That would be fun - have handles with Ed’s and Al’s heads!! XD I wonder how hard it would be to make it strong enough... xD"
