Robin was beside himself. He had never really thought himself a die- hard conservative, but the thought that Everild had not seemed to even notice the fact that her strange companion was in a skirt began to chafe at all the sensibilities in his mind.

"He is wearing a sweater, a knee length black skirt, and high heeled boots." He half-shrieked, nearly dancing with frustration. "He's even got mascara on, not to mention lipstick!" Everild took a long look at the Edae, who was wandering off, most likely looking for a stray dog that they might let him eat.

"Yes. It is quite a nice ensemble, isn't it? Very sensible, almost professional." She mused. "And he looks quite nice in it. Neutrals are a great color range for him." Robin, had he not been so wary of pain, would have began to beat his head against the tree Everild was leaning against.

"That's not the point! He's a man in a skirt!"

"Actually, he's a vampire." Robin made several incoherent sounds that may or may not have been cursing.

"He's male, alright? Males do not wear the clothes of ladies!" Everild frowned at him. "Since when did skirts become ladies apparel?" She asked, genuinely confused and possibly a tad bit offended. Robin stared at her.

"Do you think men dressed in skirts are a normal thing?" He asked.

"Well, yes, of course. They're actually quite comfortable. I don't see why males can't wear them too."

"Do you live under a rock?" he demanded.

"Well, if you're trying to get there from the mortal realm, I guess you could call the Fey Kingdom under a rock. It's really a portal to another dimension, actually." Said Everild, not realizing that the question was rhetorical.

"What? Do men go prancing around in skirts often in the Fey Kingdom?" Snapped Robin.

"Sure." She replied with a shrug. "Everyone does every once in awhile. Right at the beginning of summer, when it's too hot to be in full length pants, and too cool to go about naked." Said Everild, as if she was commenting on the weather.

"Naked?" Robin asked weakly. "Have the faeries no shame?" He asked, not yet ready to give up.

"Of course we have shame!" She replied, even though she was truthfully human. "What does being naked have to do with shame?" She asked, hands on her hips, obviously quite annoyed with him.

Robin threw his hands up in the air and stalked off, mumbling something about idiocy.

Everild rolled her eyes, mumbling something about uptight mortals.

Edae wandered back, mumbling something about dogs while attempting to free fur from his lipstick.

That was quite truly, hilarious. I loved the first two sentences, how Rovin is near jumping with frustration, and everild is chatting about color ranges... acctualy I enjoyed that throughout the whole story, how Robin is near panic with frustration and affront, Everild is simply discussing what she sees as normal or fine, and Edae is just kind of wandering around clueless to the whole exchange. To bad Robin hasn’t seen Scottish kilts... anywho, I digress, very funny, and very enjoyable! :: thumbs up ::
