"Nadrak Woman" by Sofie Lidén

Illustration of a Nadrak Woman. Coloured version of a graphite drawing I did many years ago, while reading The Belgariad, by David & Leigh Eddings. I am presently listening to the books for possibly the 10th time, (read by Cameron Bierle, who is the absolute awesomest at reading). Nadrak women are property which you can buy. However, she gets half the money every time she is sold. Being owned by somebdoy does not mean that they have a right to this woman's person or body. They will defend themselves with concealed knives. In this picture, she is wearing her traveling and dancing outfit, which is purely created from my imagination. I have no idea what they would really look like. I also borrowed the hair colour from the dryads to put more colour in the picture. I am absolutely shameless.
