First comment... I like your drawing style! My favorite is "Dior's Ex..." The coloring jobs are nice too! Good job; Keep it up!

Three cheers for the silmarillion! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP... alright, you know how it goes from there... anyway, i was under the firm delusion that no one else anywhere near my generation had ever read the silmarillion! my literary weaklings of freinds could barely handle the regular ol' run o' the mill lord of the rings HA! i laugh to spite their ineptitude, HA i say!!
well, right now, i'm feelin like i should pro'lly comment on the art part of this whole deal, so here goes...
you seem to have a knack for drawing wings, and for getting the faces to match the mood of the peice so seamlessly, i'm sad to say that i have no favorites, THEY"RE ALL MY FAVORITES!!!

:-) Joanne Shortt Butler replies: "Thanks for the lofferly comments! I know what you mean about people barely handling LOTR...though most of my friends have struggled thrugh it, I'm the only one that's read it twice, and none of them have read The Silmarillion. One has, however, read the graphic novel version of The Hobbit. -_- I've just submitted a ticket to the mods with my pic of Fingon and Maedhros, so it should be up sometime in the coming weeks."

gah!!! frustration!!! the fan art link doesn't work for me!!! is it down for everyone else? it keeps getting me mad cuz i'll forget that i've tried it before and then get all flustered again when it doesn't work... i'm just sittin' there "OOOH, fan art, that should be good!" then my computer slaps me and laughs at me when i can't get there.... *sits and stares at link hoping it will feel sorry for what it's done and decide to work again*

21 Joanne Shortt Butler replies: "Oh sorry about that! It's cause I've not done any yet. I mean I thought the Janny Wurtz stuff was, but apparently fan art is not fan art when it's fan art for a book. Or something."
