It adds to the realism of this more-artsy-than-real picture. It gives the perfect balance to connect both in a smooth, mystical, and almost romantic way....*laughs* I'm sure your saying ...riiight.....but still, this picture is really well shaded and the invertion is a perfect way to show the soft, or silkyness as you put it in the title, in the dragon. Rock is hard to draw, at least for me, to get them to look natural...but you suceeded and gave the viewer, even without a background, a glimpse of the surroundings this dragon lives in. It is truely a _very good_ picture. Laura Marie Campbell replies: "Thanks! Rock can be fun to draw, but it takes a lot of effort to get it to look... well... rocky. I have another pic here somewhere where I spent more time on the cliff than the dragon, heh. As for the 'realism'... thanks, I try. I love looking at something of the fantasy genre and thinking how *real* it looks... like it truly exists. Now *you're* probably thinking 'Yeah, riiiight.' " | |
