This took me forever to paint, but I love it so I think it was several weeks well-spent.  I think I sketched it out last winter, but it took me until the last week or so to really hit my groove with this painting and work out a lot of the composition, coloring and detail work.  I'm pretty happy with it, though.  :)

oh wow! this is really beautiful! I love the egg in the tree and the way you have done the dragons face. Also, is she wearing a rune or is it just an amulet? either way, its sooooooo cool! well done! 1

did you just like the rohanian swords from lord of the rings,

:-) Tiffany Toland replies: "I looked up rohan swords, this looks similar but I don’t think it actually is one. I just painted what the model had in her hand."

The rohan Swords were exact replicas of what Norse or Viking warriors used.
Just dont want our Friend here accused of Copying LOTR
