"Carnelian" by Tiffany Toland

This is a watercolor faerie I recently completed. The leaves are starting to turn, the night air is crisp and the mountain view just outside my bedroom window is shrouded in fog most mornings. Autumn must be swiftly on the way, and I was itching to paint an autumn fae. It just so happened that I was also itching to paint faeries themed after some stones I recently bought (carnelian is an orange-red, or "autumn brown" stone), and FAE Forum is having an "autumn" themed art show next month. It all worked out, though I'm not sure I'd paint this many leaves again, at least not for a while.

I also managed to submit it for next month's EMG-Zine. We'll see what happens!
