This is an illustration for a graphic novel I am writing and illustrating currently.  She was painted entirely in Photoshop over the course of about a week.  She is actually the second in a series of three paintings, but I am painting them all out of order.  Typical!  I might do more oubliette faeries/angels/crow girls/whatever in the future, outside of this graphic novel, because they are a lot of fun.

I love it. The emotion is visceral, the lighting effects are very dramatic (and cool!) and the woman is very well rendered. Also, that pose is difficult to pull off without looking very awkward but you’ve managed to make it look natural. Excellent work.
