(someone keeps bothering me to put this girl up, so finally, I had to listen...) 'She paused, drawing in a long needed breath, held it, then released, feeling the welcome ache form in her lungs. In quiet hesitation, she licked her lips, tasting the sweat that marked her face from a day’s weariness from walking. Yet it was the urge that kept her going, even through the heat of a basking sun, of the promised kill. Indeed, it was the hunt that thrilled the dark-haired woman, and the final moments of watching a body dissolve of life that edged her onward…and the risk that she played with every bag of coins paid to her. To such a woman…the risk was part of the fun.' ~Atrocity of Evil. Character and story copyright to me.
