He got her. Trapped as a bird in a cage. Now all he needed to do is to wait for Him. For He would never leave her beloved one in the cold ice to die.

Why did he want Him? That is left to your imagination.

It reminds me of some sci-fi that I must've dreamed up somewhere...where humans realize that the world is filles with magical beings. One by one they're caught and killed, kind of like the holocaust, in an age of destruction. I love your name...lol

Though I can say that this work really means a lot to me. This one and the piece "The Last Unicorn" are the two pictures I have drawn that are most intense, most emotional, and I just love everything about them, how they turned out technically, how they feel, and especially their ambiguous content. I hope you are not too disappointed. If you like, I'll give you one guess about what it means in my opinion. I'll just tell how close your guess came. No, if you want to keep it to yourself, you keep it there.

The first thing I thought was the rather simple idea of the way humans have become. The fact this guy is presumably in either the arctic or the Antarctic rings the bells, as those are places that you think of being destroyed through Global warming. Then there is, as I mentioned, the way that the Angel is completely naked, while the human is in thick clothes, holding a gun. This talked to me about the Human reliance on technology. Also, there is an 'abandoning religion' feel to it, obviously, due to the fact this guy is holding an angel at gun-point. There is the feel that the world is being destroyed for the children, taking the wonderful things and destroying them. OR, in contrast, taking wonderful things and tying them down, where they shouldn't be.

Finally, something that really did feel powerful about the picture was that you can see NOTHING of this man. I say man, it could be a woman. They could be of any race. This shows the way that all people are responsible for the destruction and care of the world.

What I couldn't work out was why this angel looks so childish... there could be millions of reasons for that, made me think... WAS it intentional?

I don't know you, and, when I made this comment, I had only seen this picture of yours. I now intend to look at the rest of your gallery. I may have looked in completely the wrong direction with these thoughts, but, to get this out of me, it must have been an exceedingly good picture, and there is no doubt that it is. You're pretty close with the point about humans destroying or rather "taming" everything wonderful in this world. Well, maybe I should cut that down to our nowadays modern, technologically civilised humans, but on the other hand, the tendency lies in all of us, just the methods differ. So anyway, that's one main theme of the picture for me as well, of course. About the childish look of the angel you are wondering about: It was not intentional. Actually myself, I don't even feel that the angel looks childish at all. That might just be my kind-of-cute style of drawing everything. I guess I'll have to practice more to get rid of that look! Oh, another thing: The man with the gun IS a man, he has a moustache. Else I agree about him standing there for any human, the fact that I drew a man there and not a woman shouldn't be overemphasised. Again, thank you very much for your interest in this picture! Wow...I don't know what to say. It almost represents humans and life. If you let life take hold of you by the back of the shirt, it will force you to the ground and grind you into the gravel with the heel of its boot until you are just another human stain in the dirt, never to be heard from again. But if you stand up and fight for what's right you can fight your way through life and take *it* by the back of the shirt and force *it* to the ground. And it's like the man (the hunter) is life, and the broken angel is the human beings of earth and life is taking its toll.
