The Siren lady: Really good form. Knees, arms and torso look like they're exactly where they need to be, also the lines defining the shoulder blades are a nice detail. The hair is nice too.Though, her edges seem a little jagged, especially the back of her hair. I think it might had been a flawless drawing without all the jagged cuts. She has a good expression ^_^
The rest of it: It's a good start, everyone starts somewhere. Just like everything else, one needs to work at shaping things in digital art too. Fire is particularly hard to do with digital art (so many people stay away from it =]), fire usually doesn't have a pattern, so it really lends itself to drawing irl. The edges of the fire are really jagged too, you could try smudging/anti-aliasing it to make it look a little better. And i don't mean to pick, but maybe a darker background would be a better choice for something like this... What program did you use to do this?
It is a very nice start, overall. Experience helps a lot with this kind of thing, like it does with sketching. If you want to keep going at it, it will get better. If you want help, I'm always around (though, knowing you, you'd like to do this on your own if at all =] ).
Good job, though. | |
