Whether you do, or don't like Dwarves, I'm sure you'll find this funny.

Titled:

We're Miners, not Minors.

Or:

Very Bad Dwarven Poetry Which Is Not Surprising As This Happens To Be A Song.

Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum!

Make it ale, and we'll all have sum!

We know pirates say it when the dusk is come,

-But yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!"

Deep in the mountains where the earth is gold,

And people need their beards because it is so cold,

We dwarfs live, so it is told,

And savagely crack rocks with cries of 'GOLD GOLD GOLD!'

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Make it stronger, and we'll all have sum!

We look like mini versions of Atilla-the-Hun,

-But yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

No one ever tells you that our hair goes green,

In the moist dark caverns that no man has seen,

Cracking rocks all day should make a guy lean,

But an appetite for ale gives us beer-guts mean.

Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum,

I will take whatever drink wherever it come,

Wait -I saw you spit in that don't give me one!

-But yo ho ho and a bottle of rum

Many men complain of the dwarfy smell,

I won't say too much of that -just don't sniff well,

We may be short, but our axe strikes well,

Whether to find shiny stone or make you yell.

Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum!

We'll drink ourselves silly 'til we weigh a tonne,

It gets kind of confusing between man and wo-mun,

-But yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

...and, just to confuse himself, Ian reads "Dwarf Drinking Song" whilst listening to "My Immortal" by Evanescence. I wasn't sure whether I should feel miserable or have a sudden urge to go gold-panning... I LOVE IT! A cheerful little number. Is there a tune to this?

Oh, yeah: *FIRST COMMENT DANCE!*

1 Sophie 'Photosoph' Matthews replies: "Thanks! I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on this. ^_^ Hmm... I dunno if there is a tune... unless there's a tune for the song 'Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum'. *Thinks* I wonder if it would sound good as a rap? Most of those are generally tuneless, so it might work. ~_^ Thank you for your comment! "

*hahahahaha* whow this is great!! Bad luck, it always reminded my of Pirates of the Carribean (how do you spell this?) when she was on the island with Jack Sparrow!! But really great!!! 2

2 Sophie 'Photosoph' Matthews replies: "Yeah... I think my sister told me that after she had read it. ^_^ I haven't seen Pirates of the Carribean (I have no idea how to spell it either!) yet, but I'm sure I will some day. I'm glad you enjoyed it; I like writing funny stuff. ^_^ Thank you for your comment!"

Hahahahahahahahahahhaahahahaha! You are a hillarious person, between Santa and this... Oh, never let the lampooning stop!

Ever hear the Jimmy Buffet song, "Take It Back?" It's what pops into my mind.

11 Sophie 'Photosoph' Matthews replies: "Nup, unfortunately I haven't heard of 'take it back'. But I so need to go and search for it, if you reckon it's anything like my spoof-type humour. 1.
*massive, evilish grin* Lol, glad you like it so much. I need to find another, cliche type thing I can sink my teeth into and rip apart... hmm... the easter bunny sounds like a likely candidate...
*Grabs a large carrot, a rope, and pen and paper, in hopes of capturing the true nature of the easter bunny in writing...* 12"

Dwarves... Rum... Drinkin’.... all it needs now is a head butting competion! Brilliant, I liked it a lot, just what a dwarf would sing. Keep the rhyming simple as what dwarf could remember complex verses after 30 bottles of rum...? I love it!

12 Sophie 'Photosoph' Matthews replies: "True, true. The rhyming scheme does need work. *Nods*
Thanks for reading. ^_^"

Ha ha, that was entertaining... I could see it as a rap, thought I originally started thinking of it as the upbeat yelling in most, or, all, Irish drinking songs... somehow, the idea of dwarves with bling just doesn’t sit right... :: shudders :: Ok, now that odd image is gone, all I have to say is neat poem/song/whatever :: thumbs up ::

12 Sophie 'Photosoph' Matthews replies: "True, true. *cringes*
Thanks heaps for reading and commenting!"
