This is a picture of Ylonen. Its Cookie's character, whom she requested I'd draw. If you have any questions about the character, or if you wanna read the story, go here: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/libr/y/a/yavannia/ she's part human, part mermaid.

Even though the hand is a little to big and the fingers are placed akward..

this picture manages to capture a certain expression of emotions. She looks sad, almost angry.. Like they've done something to her and she is going to take revenge..

Very nice job!

:-) Stacey L. Woods replies: "the hand is supposed to be big and slightly different, because she is part mermaid, and according to the author, it means that their hands are a big longer than most, so that was intentional 1 thanks anyways"

Now this is great- your water does really look like water!! I know that's pretty hard to do, so well done! The girl herself is very pretty! Concerning the hands, I really understand what you intended to do, but if you want to draw something so difficult as hands in a different way, it's easy to be misunderstood. You can avoid this by doing the hands in a more obvious different way than normal hands- gosh, did that make sense? ^.^; I meant something like a web between her fingers or giving them a slightly green-blue-ish touch..
In case the author wanted it this way then there's of course nothing you can do about it.
Other than that, the picture is amazing, keep up the great work!

:-) Stacey L. Woods replies: "thanks, I just didnt get any instruction to, so I didn't..I didnt wanna mess up her character 1 "

Really beautiful peace. Worthy of being in a museum, if it was really old. I hope you enjoy drawing, as it seems to inspire many people, and that drawing certainly inspired me. I wrote a few stories, but I don't feel like anyone reading them yet. 2

One more comment--> she seems sad, y? is it meant to be that way? To me, it looks as if when walking in the water, memories flash back. She looks homesick, and not knowing where she belongs... so sad, she is so delicate, like a porcelaine doll..

What are the runes supposed to mean? E L L D N E N ? Man Water Water Day Need Man Need ?
I understand them, if they stand alone, but what do they mean here? It doesn't make any sense to me...

Anyway, it's a good picture.

The hair for the elf spy was better, but this is my favorite of your pictures, hands down. Quite beautiful indeed - excellent job!
