Fire.
The light that brings fear, the warmth that brings chills. The destroyer, the unforgiving foe, the burning crusade. All in its path perish in a blaze of glory, forgotten in the heat of the moment, their tales and lives going up in smoke.
..oh, but it's so warm..
There's nothing left. Only this old body, this corpse that cannot find its place in earth.
So I'll let it burn.
Somewhere close, a desperate howl, familiar but strange. That part of my mind, the one that knows my friends and foes, is nothing more than fuel for the flames. The blood in my vessels boils, my flesh melts, my bones glow as the fire takes the last I can offer- for my soul belongs to another, my mind is trapped in the past- but I can still yet surrender my form.
Take it all.
This body has been cold for too long. I embrace the heat, let it warm me down to my very core.
..oh, and it's so warm.

god this took sooo long.
But the details.
Yeah I'm kind of proud of them <D
It started off as Jay on his own, as concept for his pyrokinesis. I want his abilities to be unique, not just another guy that can toss around fire without consequence because lord knows there's enough of those around. He can manipulate fire ignited from another source; but when there's no source around, it falls to his own body to become the fuel.
The concept came from the idea that he's not controlling the elements, that they are literally a part of him, and they can destroy him as easily as they can anyone else. Hence why he doesn't use his powers much; at least, not intentionally. He can't help it if the wind dances when he's happy, or if he burns in his anger.
if it seems like the elements are out to kill him, maybe they are
The effect didn't exactly come out as I wanted, but it'll do for a first try. Molten flesh over glowing bones how do you even-
Anywho
Oh and snakes because symbolism yes
Shedding skin (burning it in this case) and emerging reborn and all that jazz
must shush before spoilers
