All must come to an end
“We where there in the beginning when all was a great darkness and the void was blacker then the night. No flicker of light was in that great mass of blackness. We were there when the great God exploded and all that before was black now became the universe, with it’s infinite stars, great distances and endless planets. We have a calling to heed, and we heed it everywhere and in all its forms. We are the Collective and we where there in the beginning of beginnings.
We watched as the newborn earth burned and as the dark oceans seethed from the great lava streams down below and from the gases that engulfed the globe. Life began in the small pools hidden deep down in the vast oceans. One day the creatures and fishes that once ruled the immense oceans decided to leave the place they had called home for many millennia and walked up on land. With firm soil under their feet the once sea living creatures evolved. Their consciousness expanded and many of them became mammals. They grassed the plants that the earth so freely handed out and many more life forms began to thrive. We watched as the ages turned. Still, as a race you made progress. All was as it was.
We watched as one animal began its path and ascension to higher awareness. They evolved and started to realize that strength was in numbers. They started to create tools of what ever nature could provide them with and they hunted. Speech came to them, and they realized that by taming fire they had an advantage no other animal had. Their minds grew and soon the self consciousness mammal called man had formed societies, although primitive.
But in man’s heart burned a desire to know, and soon you could create metal and it was not too long until you could tame the vast sees that covered your planet with ships. Your species thrived, and you had other species work for you. The dog, descended of wolves, and the horse was yours to command. You looked at the great stars and the sun and the moon. A deep and wonderful notion filled you, that something greater must be out there, and that you, as humans were under its wings. Still, as a race you made progress. All was as it was.
We watched as you grew. Into man came the notion of right and wrong. Some men decided what and how the collective should behave. They claimed they could speak to that greater notion, that you called God. Although your mindset was still newly born, you found that it was good. Culture was there, and you began to write books, and compose wonderful music. Thinkers pondered at the unseen and life and the great questions, yet something was amiss. You divided yourself and thought that you were separated from each other. Your holiest among you began crusades, and people were tortured, raped and killed. We watched as man turned against man, fighting for gold, honor, and for what they thought was right.
Yet we waited, our patience was great. Still, as a race you made progress. All was as it was.
We watched as the era of industry and technology was upon you. Nature and all its mysteries were there, begging to be solved. You discovered new medicine, man lived longer and was healthier and this was the peak of civilization you thought. You souls burned with fire and you were eager to create. Technology was worshiped, and nature was something you used without thought. Terrible weapons were created, people were poor and starving. The suffering was great. Wars were fought and millions killed, in the name of greed and wealth.
Yet we waited, our patience was great. Still, as a race you made progress. All was as it was.
We watched as man who once looked on the earth with wonder now gazed with fascination upon the black sky and the stars. Wonder filled your heart. Rockets and satellites you created, and you longed to explore the space. Your thirst for technology was deep, and computers, cars and electricity was invented and explored. Teacher of the spiritual was send to you, still you had a notion of God and something deeper although it was newly born. Yet your technology raced and your thoughts could not follow. Wars raged, viruses were created and your fascination for atoms brought the nuclear bomb, with the tremendous capacity to destroy the world you knew.
Yet we waited, our patience was great. Still, as a race you made progress. All was as it was
We watched as you as a race slowly evolved. More and more of your kind developed mental and psychic abilities. Astral projection, telekinesis and telepathy were soon common among your kind, and you yearned to discover the deep space. A longing was in you, surely you where not alone in that dark space. Still, hunger, war and brutality raged across the planet. Despite your mental ability you couldn’t connect with each other, and man tormented man. Now you threatened to take your childish behavior out in space. Together with your increasingly growing mental abilities, man was now not only a threat to himself, but to other planets, galaxies and beings.
We have a calling to heed, and we heed it everywhere and in all its forms. We are the Collective and we where there in the beginning of beginnings. You as humans are a threat to all creatures that live.
All was as it was. Yet, our patience had come to an end. That is way the Collective has decided the annihilation of the planet known amongst humans as Earth.”
“What do you have to say for your defense, human?”
Alexander had been chosen to speak for all the people of the world. He was still in chock. How could he defend all humanity against the Collective? Their speech had been lengthy and…correct, he sadly acknowledged.
“I…I just know the actions of today. I assure you that we always try to do well. Sure we do mistakes, we are human after all. You can’t do this. We will do better! I promise!” Alexander’s blonde hair was damp, and his shirt was soaked with his own sweat. His throat was dry, mostly out of fear, the greatest he had ever felt.
The Collective looked at him and interrupted his speech.
“Motion denied. Our patience is at an end. The destruction of earth shall commence in a week. All is as it is. The Collective has spoken.” And with those words the faith of Earth and mankind was sealed forever.
