This picture has nothing to do with my series, its just something I wanted to draw after a bad experience I had... Raya is chained and abandoned because all good things must come to an end. But is she sad because of what her lover did to her? Or for what she has done to him?

I think the picture is pretty good, I just want to clear up a common literary discrepancy regarding the title. As many who will see this will know, the line the title is found in is in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. However, like a few other lines in the play, the meaning is misconstrued for one reason or another. I know this is a tangent, but Juliet's line "Parting is such sweet sorrow" refers to, as many know, Romeo leaving her backyard. When she says that the sorrow of his leaving is sweet, she means that yes, she will miss him (hence the sorrow) but it will be sweet, as she will be able to think about him until he returns. I know it's Shakespeare, but Bill can be sappy when he wants. My work here is done!

Very nice image. I like the way you have positioned her with her back to us, I think it makes it more touching. I like that rock. IT ROCKS! ^_^ - seriously very nice textures there, and on her skin.

ME LIKEY!

The picture is absolutely splendid, but I guess the chains are hindering while flying - no offence, it is still a very great piece of art!

that's the point. She can't fly away cause she's chained to the rock.

Congrats on a mod’s choice here!

It’s a fantastic piece, I think. Beautiful wings [I can’t ever do wings right *lol*] and they’re actually properly sized for her body! 1 The detail put into the fallen marble pillar, the chains, the fabric and her clasps is amazing!

I can feel the emotion from her- the fact that she has her back turned gives me a sense of solitude- that she wants to be alone or she FEELS alone. You conveyed it well. 2
