Always longing to go there..
...But only in her mind.
Dreaming of another world...
...And leave her own behind.

First I thought watercolour was evil and was some demon plan just to annoy me....but guess what? It's fun to work with!

First again! She looks real, well done, especially her back and right arm! I like how the breeze is blowing her hair, and the sun on the horizon. Good job!

:-) Saskia H. Suurling replies: "Congratulations on being the first again! It’s so sweet of you to come back so often. I’m glad that you like my mermaid. Thanks again for commenting John."

INK!!! INK!!!! *Faints*
I take it you used a nice waterproof ink on this since it hasn’t run into the watercolour. Now that can be evil.
She’s nicely done. and the foreground with the rocks. The back looks a little sketchy. But the sun is well done nice effect.

:-) Saskia H. Suurling replies: "I used the ink when the painting was dry and that worked well. I agree about the back. Thanks for commenting Dave."

the longing in her face is so clear..poor her, this pic is so emotive. and the ’dying’ sun (sunset) is really appropriate too!

:-) Saskia H. Suurling replies: "She misses someone very badly...."

very nice concept! i find the lines around her, specially where the tail stops and turns into her upper body, a bit too harsh though. maybe smudging a little bit or putting some shade on or something would make it look smoother and more realistic.

:-) Saskia H. Suurling replies: "Thank you for your advice. It will sure be helpfull on my practising."
