I think that the older one was going to kill that little elf, or at least seriously wound him, when the monsters showed up. Now she's going to defend him and they'll become the best of friends and live happily ever after. *cough*Ornot*cough

I think possibl;y that the two elves are related somehow? And the taller one has met the little one for the first time, the little one is petrified because the big one has a gun, but the little one doesnt see the montsers the big one is protecting him from. The monsters won't go near the scary gun. 2 tehe
