Once apon a time, there was a beautiful princess who lived in a quiet kingdom.  Her father, the King, had given her a golden ball, which quickly became her favorite toy.  She played with it everyday, tossing it up in the air and catching it while walking near the pond on their estate. One fateful day, the ball rolled into the pond before she could retrieve it. The princess was desolate. Not only had she lost her favorite plaything, but she would have to tell her father how she had been so careless with his gift to lose it such.  Just when she began to cry in despair, a frog lifted his head up from under the water. "Why do you cry, sweet princess?" he asked. With tears still rolling down her face, she told her story to the little frog who sat on a lily pad nearby and patiently listened to her woes. "Now that is a problem." He nodded his head wisely as she finished, "I may be able to retrieve the ball for you..." The princess let out a cry of joy. "But," continued the frog, "you must do a favor for me in return."  And so they struck a bargain, and the princess wiped away her tears and smiled as the frog dove beneath the water. After all, what kind of a favor could a frog possibly ask for? little did she know that "favor" would change her life, as well as the frog's, for a very long time to come.

Most of you know this story, I would hope, as The Frog Prince. The above is just a quick intro into the story and was not taken from any published edition of the story.

Forget her face. Her dress is awesome!!! And I really like the castle. It's not all that detailed, but it's just the right amount for the fairytale feel of the picture.

:-) Rachel Danielle Toguchi replies: "*nods head* yes, but it took me FOREVER to decide on HOW simple it should be! I almost started a whole other wing! notice the lonesome tower to the right...."
