	All in the foreground was painted for submition to the banner contests for Elfwood. But I couldn't just leave it like that, so here it is with background.

And I love all the little leaves which you painted so wonderfully with all the light and shadow on every one of them. And the trunks too, they are really marvellous. Just a lovely picture, Steph! 8 May 2005	Sam	Loading... Your girl looks very masculin, with a manly jaw. It's very broad, but the background and the preseption are beautiful!! Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you Sam, but not every woman/girl as a delicate features, but in this instance she is in full sun from above which creates a lot of shadow around her neck and jaws. It's not always sympathetic to the less femanine looking of us "

I admire the way in which you darkened the area behind the woman, which makes her stand out so well, and also adds to that feeling of a deep, dark forest. Your colour choices for the forest are perfect - layers of various greens. 8 Oct 2008	Heidi Hecht	Loading... This is pretty cool. I did hear Elfwood used to do contests and stuff but I guess I joined too late to participate in all that. So, how did you place? Steph Steph Salt replies: "Your not too late Heidi they do still have them when they decide to change the sites art work but that doesn’t happen very often, and really your graphics skills need to be much better than mine I think? I didn’t place but there was some extremely good art entered as you can see when you do a search Thank you for your comment and I hope they have another one soon so you can enter "
