This was started a few years ago but has laid unfinished because at the time I felt unequal to the task of finishing it, but I have come to terms with acrylics and using colour now and this is the final result. Going to classes does help believe me, no one is born knowing everthing that is needed to be able to paint successfully.

It's in acrylics and measures 18 x 14 inches and painted on canvas board.

I've cited Lovecraft and The Forgotten Realms as my inspiration as I can no longer recall which book inspired me to paint it so take your pick as he fits either category lol

There he is! Haha Steph it’s such a funny figure, but beautifully painted by you. The background is wonderful too!

I think that the correct spelling of the character’s name is "Cthulhu"... Anyway, this is a beautiful painting, Steph, and again it shows your great sense of colouring and details!

I did check the spelling for Cthulhu/Cthulu, and it seems that those are not the only ways that the name can be spelt so I’ll stick with my version as it’s the one I gave the file 1 Just try looking for him in Wikipaedia Greg lol"

Whouh, good lighting and I love the head. Cthulhu is very stricking indeed. He doesn’t look that scary, I don’t know anything really about Lovecraft but he is meant to be evil, isn’t he?

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "I know but at the time I painted him I was just trying to capture something else and forgot the fear factor lol"
