LOL definately with the boarder!!! I love the boarder =) This is a cute and fun picture =) I love the waves and the unicorn's hair, they match =)

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you for your comment Desiree, though really both are unfinished, I must get back to them. Time is the trouble though! </a></i>"

I love the border. It creates like a picture for a hallmark card for a birthday or something. Outstanding.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thats a good idea Jessica, maybe once it is finished I might turn it into a card? Thanks for the idea. 2"

It looks so real...I feel like I'm living in it...I LOVE IT!!!!! 2

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "I would love to be there with them as well, your right it does look fun. 2"

I love it! It's so realistic that, as many others have probably said, I feel as though I'm in the picture with them! The one criticism I'll give is that the elf girl looks a bit boyish. You might want to give her a bit more meat on her ribs, and a slightly larger bust area (unless she's supposed to be a small girl). Sorry, just me being nit-picky! ^-^() Still love the piccy!

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you Arianna, she is suposed to be a small girl, you know that skinny period that happens around the age of eight to ten years. Thats just when life gets really fun, old enough to be of on your own but young enough to still play.1 I think I want to be her. 1"

I really like this picture.
And I think it's better with border.
Pinky

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you pinky, I think I will keep both versions, the voting seems to be even. 2"

Hi - I actually prefer the one without the border....although it looks nice, it kinda looks out of place on THIS particular picture (just my opinion, no offence!!) Great picture!

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "I don't know why I gave it the frame, it just kind of popped into my mind, but I kept the original frame free. I did start to smooth out some faults in this but, got to busy to finish it and now my tablets broken8I hope to buy a new one soon, if I sell some of my pictures at this exhibition? 2"

I think I like with the border better. This is cool – you don't see tropical pictures that often on Elfwood. I think her leg that's drawn up looks kind of funny, though.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you Margaret. Her leg is fine, but there are so many things that are wrong with this picture, I think a replacement is in order, when I have the time 2"

Joins them in my fantasy..! Wonderful!2

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you Anne. I was with them all the time I was painting it, but I never got wet 8 LOL!"

I grandly proclaim that the border stays!
Because... it introduces a foreground (vines) and gives the picture more depth. As another commenter said though it does look a little out of place, perhaps it's just a case of adding some more colours from the composition to it, To set it in the same plane as the figures.

One more thing, before I forget to say it. It's a really great picture as well. ^_^ Warm and bright and free, ooh it makes me want to go to the beach.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you Ilena, you are perfectly correct about the border, but I don't know when I will be able to get back to it. I should be painting now, but I mess about on the computer instead, I have my fingers in too many pies LOL! Or doing too many things at once, I will be waving to myself in passing soon at this rate 1"
