A wizard is regreting turning his wife into a flying fox to stop her nagging him about wanting to fly. Now he regrets it and besides he's forgotten the spell to turn her back again.
Has any of you heard a vixen scream? :D

My friend Kethram as wrote a story based on this picture, please do read it, it was a mods choice and well deserved it as well. http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/libr/k/e/kethram/why_me2.html.html

The look on his face is priceless, and I love the idea behind the picture. Wonderful background, with all that stony texture. Poor guy, poor wife! 2

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Oh I don't know I think she is enjoying being a flying fox, just imagine what she can do to those folks she doesn't like!Worse than any bird LOL!"

I like this one very much too. I'm not talking about the topic, but the mood in this kind of architecture reminds me of the old role playing games I used to play in my childhood.
Your technique is really great also.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "I love old buildings and towns like York so drawing something like this was a real pleasure. I live not far from and old castle as well, it's one of the ruins that Oliver Cromwel nearly flattened 2 They have medieval pageants there and I took a photo of this man and just built the town around him. I really must show it to him sometime, if I see him again that is? 2"

Well that's what you get wizard! Now your wife will nag on him forever! Jessie wags her finger in front of him. hehe! Love the way you did the wizard and his poor wife!

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Yes I think he deserved it as well, but have you ever heard a fox scream! Well if you have then you've just got to feel sorry for the poor sap! 2"

WOHA!!! I've never seen this... why? *hits herself with something.... big*

This must... this IS my fave of your works Steph. OMG... I love this!!!

So warm, so telling... I feel almost at home... I want to sit beside him. I can almost smell that place. Sheeez... *puts on as screen background*

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Oh dear you must be nearly deaf if you can sit there with that noise! LOL!I'm not kidding Sofie, that fox lady is yelping at him something awful LOL!"

I've really enjoyed looking through your gallery. Your use of realism and your pencil work is just astounding! Kudos to a fellow traditionalist within the woods! This is definately my favourite of your works, the atmosphere of the bar/inn wherever this poor wizard is is quite tangible. The fox is adorible, but sad. Makes me want to write more in my story now! Keep up the wonderful work, Ms. Salt! -Jenne.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Hi Jenne and thank you, now I'm blushing, but i've got to admit to trying to redo this picture, the sign was too low and ruined the whole thing.Well we all have these crosses to bear LOL!"

Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow.

- song by Tool ^^ One of my husbands is the singer.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "I wonder what the rest of the words are? Does all the song suit this picture Sofie? That bit does any way LOL!"

Hi Steph. Remember I sort of promised to write a story for this image? Well, I've finally found some time. It's not quite finished yet, but I think it will be this weekend.
Oh, and don't worry, I won't post it anywhere without letting you read it first.

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Sorry I'm so slow replying Kethram, thank you the story is brilliant. I really must post a link to it here one it's in your gallery."

The detail... the detail! Everything about this is great, and that includes the story - LOL. The expression on his face is priceless!

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "Thank you Fiona, I am so sorry this is late, I didn't mean it to look like I was ignoring your comment. Either I forgot, which is what I do if I don't follow up straight away on a message alert, or I never recieved one?I am so pleased that you like it though. How are you managing keeping the bearded one under control? *Hugs!*"

Poor wizard... though in a way maybe he deserved it. Though if she was nagging him already, maybe this means there hasn’t been any difference lol~

Love this picture, the shading is really good and the man’s face expression just fits to the situation. ^^ I’ve never heard a fox scream before but I can imagine it’s pretty noisy if he makes that face!

:-) Steph Steph Salt replies: "If you haven’t heard one then I don’t know if to say congratulation or my condolences? A Vixens scream is something that has been known to give sleepers nightmares and some reckon that the legend of the Banshee was born from a vixens scream 19 Very scary in the middle of the night and painful to the eardrums from one too close by lol"
