SciFi and Fantasy Art Wizard Snowman and Friend by Steph Steph Salt


	Just a friendly snowman wizard and his dragon friend, painted for a snowman competition. It won, by one vote! :D This picture is painted using both soft pastels and pastel pencils for the details. It can be tricky because tha hard pencil doesn't go over the other very well, but I wouldn't let it defeat me.

My only comment is that the texture on the snowman is a bit off...the texture on the snow drifts is less off...but on the snowman it looks like some sort of fleece or felt suit rather than snow... But then again...I have NO IDEA how to do a snow texture...and I suck at art. So what do I know? Good job! And the dragon is really cute, i love the colouring. This would look great on a Christmas card Steph, it's really well coloured and the snowman has such wonderful appeal - he's very cute. ^.^ Great job on the fabric folds...And in general, really. Steph Steph Salt replies: "Ah yes my friendly Snowman, he’s on my bedroom wall even now, and he’s not afraid of his little pet for the simple reason that he is magically held together so heat cann’t melt him you see. lol"
