One of the most beautiful horses in the world, the Friesian. In the original picture, the feathering was a lot better. But when I coloured the whole entire thing, I came to find that I'd coloured it a dark purple, so instead of taking another half hour to re-colour it carefully, I did... uncarefully.

Once again, I love the shape of the head. It gives the horse a very powerful look. Great musculature and form in the legs too. Nice pose; the horse looks proud.

Whoa, this is nice! Very bold,it stands out nicely( I need to improve my vocabulary!). I love the eye. It makes the horse look kinda evil.Which is good...

Come on, "artist", aren't you going a little far with that title? I mean, that's like me calling myself an "Indian" just cause I murder indians.

:-) Sara E Swearingen replies: ".....I really have no idea what you're talking about. If you're going to openly criticize someone, or criticize anyone anyhow, please be specific.. your comparison and your complaint seem to be two totally different things. Now, unless you're talking about the actual title of the picture, it's pretty clear- it's the name of a breed of horse. o...ô"

Good work on this one! Very obvious that's a Friesian. 2Coloring isn't bad, it reminds me a lot of a silhouette.Lovely work on the anatomy. By the way, if you want some interesting horse poses, I have a few pictures of an old Appaloosa I ride from when he was bucking and charging. They're stills but they're still excellent poses. I can send you some if you would like. 2 Kinda difficult but definitely great practice!

1 Sara E Swearingen replies: "Thank you! Yes, i would like to see these pictures. I need some practice drawing horses again ^-^. Thanks for stoppin' by!"

Friesians are the best! They are my FAVORITE horses!!! This is really weird, because during homeroom in school yesterday me friends and I were picking out horse species for everyone and I was a friesian! Anyway, no suggestions for this one. Love the pose.
