The Injasura are 12 beasts of unimaginable power. According to legend, they seal a gate that leads to the realm of the Daityas. In order to forbid mortals from entering this place, and the Daityas from entering our world, the Gods used the lifeforces of the Injasura to bar the gate. It is said that each of them draws strength from one of 12 sacred stars.

Baiyon, The Devourer of Shadows, is the 2nd Injasura. He corresponds to the star, Zefa Gurzon. Baiyon serves the will of Heaven by hunting down, and punishing those who offend the Gods. For the most part, unless commanded otherwise, he visits his victims with a punishment identical to whatever heinous misdeed they committed. On a few occassions, Baiyon offers his victim absolution of their transgretions if they undertake a quest to atone for what they have done. If they succeed, then Baiyon announces their redemption. If they fail, he ushers them into the next life with his talons.

Of course, I've never seen either of those animals have taloned hands sprouting from their mouths, but, hey, there's a first time for everything. I like the wings best - detailed, yes, but not overly so. Does that make any sense? Stanton F. Fink replies: " The hand isn't sprouting from the mouth, it's coming foward, over it."
