And he looks like he's supposed to be a samurai, so that'll be cool too. Hope you decide to color it when you're finished; I think it'll be great!

I think Shoukou has a great deal of potential; even now you have the composition set just about right. See how his sword and his antennae form a lop-sided circle? Keep that! Keep it lop-sided, too; that makes the composition more exciting. The details in his face are hard to read yet, but the overall design (and the shoulder pads) is marvelous. Can't wait to see how it develops. Stanton F. Fink replies: "Well, his face is really hard to read, as it decayed, and crumbled to dust centuries ago. I suppose I'll keep this particular pose. And antenna? You mean his pheasant feather/plumes?"
| 18 Sep 2002 | Angeline Vixen | Loading...Nice description Stanton but... most of us don't speak Japanese. Translation please? Stanton F. Fink replies: "How would I know? I can't read Japanese." | |

| 29 Nov 2002 | Jennifer Adcock | Loading...My Japanese teacher had trouble with this. He said if he had the original kanji/hirigana he'd have no trouble. As is, in romaji, he got something about "...From the sky, for your father..." Thought you'd like to know. Stanton F. Fink replies: "I already KNOW what it means, my dear." | |
