Tag As FavoriteComment		Based on my interest in anime, and anime fandom, this was done in 2002 for Kaiten Yari, who is an young anime fanartist whose work I admire, and who was feeling a bit down and depressed. Gouache on masonite board.

Very beautiful. I was never very good at gouache.

:-) Alan Gutierrez replies: "Thanks! Gouache is a hard medium to master. You can't cover it more than about 2-3 times without pulling up the old layer."

Me likey the kimono. I was trying it out over the weekend, but I thought something was missing, then I found out it was the bow in the back, but I didn't know what to do for it. Thank you very much for giving me something to reference.^^ (I also didn't know if I had done the sleeves right or not, but close enough *shrug*).

I have a question that i’m not sure you can answer...Is that a Kimono or a Yukata? I love the girl and her expression but...It’s gonna drive me crazy!!!
