Wooow, this is very impressive. The eagles look very real and the city looks awesome! I really like the architecture of the buildings and all the vegetation. It is really weird, but I made a watercolour painting of Gondolin a while ago and the composition is incredibly similar to yours. I’d appreciate it if you could take a look at it in my gallery and gave me your opinion!1

This has to be the best picture I have seen on this site. Amazing. The birds look real. And that gondolin is worthy of John Howe himself.

:-) Chris Mills replies: "Thanks VERY much - that’s a hell of a compliment"

The Eagles and the rock they are standing on really stand out in my mind. The rest of it is well done; but the Eagles and the rock ledge they are standing on really take away from what you are trying to show behind them.

Me love those eagles! Very well done, but as Vic says, the eagles capture all the attention and make you ignore Gondolin a while, while you absorb their magnificence. But very well done indeed!

I like your vision of the Silmarillion. Your paintings capture the atmosphere of the book very well. And your tecnique is fantastic
