SciFi and Fantasy Art Soul Companion by Stefan Holmgren

Ah. Here's a sketch that I haven't had time (or stamina) to finish. When I got the expression on the woman's face to my liking, I went on to another picture. Should probably do something about my lack of concentration, eh? However, even though the woman is most detailed in this picture; the emphasis should really be on the creature on her shoulder. I wanted it to be linked to the woman on a deeper level, perhaps some sort of soul-link... Well, well...

I am a bit misty eyed at this one, having once had a pet rat (rescued from the evil grasp of a snake at the petstore) who would sit on my shoulder as I did everyday things! This to me, is what it would be like if I lived in another time with my dear pet, who I miss dearly in this age. Beautiful!
