Yet another woman's face over a couple of mountains! What an imaginative soul I am! No, this is my first attempt at acrylic, and I am horrified thinking about my technique. Preposterous of me to think that I could do something nice, not having the least of knowledge when it comes to acrylic. So, this painting was somewhat painful to complete; but I did it, and can say that I am somewhat satisfied (seeing that it _is_ only a first attempt). She is somewhat mystical, isn't she? Has a goddess quality over her, doesn't she? The headband that she wears (that could be much more detailed, if it wasn't for my impatience) is centered with the glowing sun, from which the moon hangs. Stars are scattered over the black of the rest of the headband. And, of course, we are seeing this at some point in the morning when the night has to give way to the day.

This reminds me very much of the Egyptian mythos. I think it's very well done..I never did manage painting...

Excellent job for a first try!

It's a beautiful picture, very clean and exceptional for a first try. A lot better than many acryllic pictures I've seen from the "proffesionals." Just some technical advice, or what I think could be technical. I might be wrong, but it looks like you wanted the face to fade away and the mountains to stand out more, or maybe the mountains to fade away and the face to stand out. Either way, one or the other needs to happen. With both leaping off the page at you, it's a little bit too much. Kind of like looking at a Van Gogh, excellent to some folks, not so to others. For me, just a little bit too much. The second thing is, I'm not sure what the major emphasis of the picture was supposed to be. It was a first try, but planning out what you want to do a little bit more might improve the quality. Great job though.
