| 4 Jul 2007 | Lanfeust <nigamura@ho | Loading...Hi, nice idea. I like the touch of surrealism of this picture. Seems like several souls are captured by the tree and they’re trying to escape know. I like. At the other hand it it could be, that the different extremity are playing together. It looks to me playful. Greez Lanfeust Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "hey lanfeust thanks for your lovely comment interesting idea of the many souls being kept inside the tree and trying to escape... and now that you say the word "playful" - it reminds ME of how lion babies play together and how harsh that looks... so you’re right with your suggestion, interesting ! thanks " | |
| 28 Dec 2007 | Heather ´Pixy´ Lynn | Loading...ha, I love the foot! It really is an interesting idea. I wonder what they are all reaching for??? Stephanie S. K. | 19 Nov 2008 | Silvia Meiliani | Loading...Well, I got scared for this one... Arms and legs in the tree... Thinking what if the arms tried to grasp people... This is a good pic, anyway^^ Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "...of course they do try to grab the people - what did you think, it’s a nice tree ? maybe also been inspired a bit by the evil trees on "king’s quest IV" - arms in trees have always been there to grab people...;-) thanks for your comment, silvia " | |

| 2 Aug 2009 | Anad Mirer | Loading...Very creepy and inspiring, every hand is telling a small tale and the foot is like the anchor that pulls you into the picture. The rightmost hand nags at my brain but i can’t quite settle my mind to where its inspired from - ah I figure it might be michelangelos "creation of adam". Im impressed by the ease with which you apparently scetched all these different angles and positons of the human hand. You should try to do surrealistic subjects more often, considering your amazing creativity I imagine you’d come up with some great stuff. Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "haha, i feel very flattered you compared my hand to such a famous painting... *g* i used to LOVE to draw hands - it was basically all i did back then... i guess i lost practice in it :-/. i have indeed tried some other surrealistic stuff, back in school i was very inspired by dali & co., but i’ve never really picked up the theme again - too weird i guess;-) hehe. thanks for your comment " | |
