I sat down one afternoon, knowing that i wanted to draw some kind of fairy, but i just had no idea what kind of... i was listening to tschaikowski's 'nutcracker' to get inspired. suddenly i heard the song 'sugar plum fairy' and when i read it's name i imagined a funny little fairy sitting in a pot of sugar playing with feathers...

now, what does a feather have to do with it... i know, it was a mistake: when i read 'plum' i just couldn't help thinking of 'plume' which means feather in french... i tried to get it out of my brain but i couldn't, oh well, so there is some incoherence in the whole picture but whatever, i like her, really:)

it takes me back to my childhood back when i was carefree and didnt have to worry about anything. this picture gives me a sense of peace and I really enjoyed it. it brought tears to my eyes.
