One windy day, I was working and the wind kept blowing paperwork all over the room. It seemed to be doing it on purpose...

The Mischievous Child Wind

Wind, the mischievous child

Rattled my windows and came in for a while.

He blew through my entire house

Picking up papers and throwing them about

Making just about the biggest mess

I've ever endured from any guest.

Without so much as a pause to ask how I've been

He whipped through my house and went out again.

But just the short time he spent running around

Was enough to turn the place upside down.

And as soon as I finish picking up I know

I'll hear him again rattling my window.

*chuckles* That's so very true!! I think anyone who's anyone has experienced a similar situation; whether it be on a picnic or *ack* at an outdoor wedding! Great imagination!!!

This is such a wonderful poem. All of your works are so short, sweet and pleasurable to read. Great stuff.

*blushes* once again, I have a break in between my comments. I'm so sorry, you just have so much wonderful stuff, and each poem requires a lot of attention, because they all are amazingly good! Will you accept cupcakes as an apology? Because you're so nice I know you will! *grins* By the way, I just loved this. The wind can just be so rude sometimes, eh?

hahah... soon as the papers are all picked up, the little Wind child will be back, doncha know! LOCK THE WINDOWS AND DOORS! then, instead of writing on paper, plug in your laptop! heehee

Great personification! The wind *can* be rather obnoxious ^_~

What a wonderful personification! The wind is rather mischevious isn't it? This was a lot of fun to read.

This is cute. I used to have a similar problem at school with the wind - as did every other girl. I think the wind that wound around our school was more teenager than child, especially in summer with the crepe-paper light dresses we had to wear.
I liked this, it's another nice, short, to the point poem. It's fun and I liked the personification; particulalrly the line about the wind making mroe mess than any other house guest.
Very nice
