It's been awhile since I've been on elfwood, but I'm back, and not to mention that I've seen your new additions. Very good, very nice looking. You can tell you're getting alot of practice on photoshop. It shows trust me.

The real reason I came to your gallery today (after getting side tracked with "big bug creek") is to invite you to a friendly drawing chanllenge over summer/winter. The task is to depict something from a local legend or urban myth. It can be from your area or hometown. Email me if you want to know more.

1 Steven P. Love replies: "Thanks for the invitation, but I live in the Arizona desert. Not much out here as far a legends or myths. There are some Native American Tribes in Arizona that probably have some myth and legends but they're not in my local area. You can send me the details of the challenge if you want and then I'll decide if I want to participate after reading through the requirements. Thanks."

Hi! I really love your artwork! Can you give me some tips?

1 Steven P. Love replies: "Hello Eva. I took a quick look at your work. Your concepts are good, you just need to keep refining your coloring techniques. As far as tips from me; the only thing I can tell you is that if you're using Photoshop to color your drawings I would use the smudge tool to spread the colors into the areas you want. Then use the Burn Tool to create shading. The Dodge Tool can be used to create highlights. You might want to also paint in layers. That way if you mess up you can delete the layer and try again. But it will take practice. If you look at some of my old works you'll see how my work evolved over time to what it is now. It took me about 3 years to perfect my techniques, and I'm still trying to find new ways to use the program. One last piece of advice; always work on a copy of your work, that way if your mess it up and can't undo the damage you still have the original to try again. Good luck with your art."

I’m not sure if I found all your new work. Maybe you could send me links to the new ones you got posted.
I’ve also got some new stuff as well, although I’m not producing as fast as I used to. Kind of hard to create when you have to work to pay bills. "
