| 1 Jul 2005 | Amy | Loading...You should do an updated version of her. Color or no. It will be great to see how much your style and talents have changed, plus if your like me you can finally find out if you can draw feet. *sighs* I always have to draw boots. ohh well, keep up the good work, and finding your old ones too. Steven P. Love replies: "Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I plan to do another updated version of this one. But most of my work is digital now. I just can't seem to hold a pencil steady anymore. But I'll make sure my Alien Dream Girl is dreamy this time. Thanks again for stopping by." | |
| 7 Jul 2005 | Chelsea Pizio | Loading...Yay!! Update!! Update!! Yes!! Yes!! I want to upload more pictures myself, but due to my recent rejection of my story I'm typing for having too much gore and hard to understand language, I didn't want to upload my next few pictures. Oh well, back to your picture, I would love to see your digital take on this one. I'll be waiting. Steven P. Love replies: "Sorry to hear about your story getting rejected. I was wondering why I could not find it when you told me you uploaded it. I forgot that stories submitted to Wyvern have to be reviewed like the pictures do. Maybe next time. If you remember I'm also writing a sci-fi story. I just finished chapter three, but you won't see it on Elfwood I'm afraid. It has a couple of steamy love scenes that would not pass the PG-13 rating for Elfwood. Like I mentioned in prior comments I do plan to redo this one. I just have to find the time. I do have two pending tickets, however. Three pics for the sci-fi and one fan art. Keep an eye out. ;-)" | |
| 18 Sep 2005 | Richard H. Patton | Loading...Wow... I'm impressed, Steve. Some real nice stuff going on here. But I love how it feels like a fantasy... to me anyway. I suspect I see an Alien movie influence, but then I see your age, and I have to question if you'd seen it yet. If not... well, that just emphasizes what a wonderful imagination is at work here. I'm attracted to her heroic proportions, and the grace of her form. It seems to be a moment caught by surprise as she was moving. That look on her face and in her eye... it's positively arresting! She's surprised and alluring and scheming and intrigued, all at the same time! Lovely!! Super shading! I love the design of her environment, especially that "tooth" edging the support beam, a wonderful contrast to her. What a fantastic sense of life she has! And I can't forget to compliment the tail. I don't know how you managed to keep that addition sexy, but you did! I admire anyone who can make an alien so splendidly womanly. Dang. Please tell me you have more of your work from this era, and that you'll be putting them up soon. I'm LOVING IT!!! Consider me another vote for an update too! Steven P. Love replies: "Thanks for the compliment on such an old piece of work from my youth. As you suspected I had seen the first Alien Movie at the time I did this. That's why the background kind of resembles the inside of the Alien ship from the movie. But the girl was completely imaginary. It was a time in my life when, like many teenage boys, I had a facination with exotic looking women. It was also a time when I could do imaginary humanoid forms from my imagination. Nowadays I have to use photo references to get the body and face proportions right. I'm afraid though that she was the last of my old works. I did have one more airbrushed painting of another alien beauty but I had given it to my Grandfather over 20 years ago. After he died about 12 years ago I inquired about the painting but none of the other family members had seen it. I'd be willing to bet that one of my cousins took it. In any case, I do plan a revised version of this picture in the near future. I'll let you know when it's done." | |
| 13 May 2009 | Tom Draco Noir Taylor | Loading...Hello, Stephen! That you could do such imaginative work at 15 is remarkable. I like the tail! Were you, like me, a reptile enthusiast in your youth? seems i always had a lizard or two, or a tortoise, even a few caimans. My wife, Lynn, also has a few pics of lizard people here on EW. She just draws for fun, but enjoys looking at all the really talented artists at Elf Wood. She liked your pictures as well. I also agree, this one needs a digital update! Steven P. Love replies: "Thank you.
This one was one of the few that I could do right out of my head. Nowadays I need a model for the face and body. In a way my Vekolth woman and the Vyan are my updates since this one was like a progenitor to them. " | |
