This is a revision of my original "Gateway of the Ancients" picture.

In this depiction I have the StarGate in orbit around our Moon in a state of Initial Activation. The hardest part was creating the water-like effect that is depicted in the "StarGate" TV show when the Gate is being activated.

The photo of the Moon was taken by me with my Olympus E500 eight megapixel digital camera. I enhanced the photo and used it as the background for this image.

A fellow Arizonan! Whoa, this is pretty awesome, you did a nice job with the whooshy gate effects.

1 Steven P. Love replies: "Thank you. The Gate effects were the hardest part of the rendition. I used the "Warping" tool in Photoshop CS2 to give it that shape and bulging look. What part of Arizona are you from? I live near the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant about 50 miles west of Phoenix."

WOW that is tha best!!!! lol i watchin atlantis now the second season.....i really lyk it u have done a great job worthy of the series!
