| 3 Sep 2001 | T-Byrd | Loading...Could anyone explain to me in some extent what's a kirin? Wait, I'll ask Tralfy. Nice pic, seems like one of the better ones. | |
| 6 Sep 2001 | Stanton F. Fink | Loading...A kirin is a kind of scaled unicorn, said to resemble a deer with a hide of dazzling scales, and a single horn. They're also supposed to have huge, billowing manes.
Your kirins keep reminding me of lung-ma... That is, lung-ma with equine heads. | |

| 20 May 2002 | Pixie | Loading...Good green kirin | |
| 17 Jun 2002 | Erin | Loading...This reminds me of a plastic horse I own, at least in pose.... You don't happen to collect Breyers, do you? Anyway, I love the mane and tail, and great job on perspective! Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "I do indeed collect Breyers, or used to. The old description of this pic indicated that I drew this from one, as I did. It's a black unicorn, though I imagine other models were made from that form. " | |
| 3 Aug 2002 | Sam weerawardane | Loading...Haha I used to collect Breyers too! Was wondering where I'd seen that pose before... great poses tend to stick in my mind. And it's my favourite colour too! *clap clap* Me likes. | |
| 23 Sep 2003 | Rochelle 'Dragontrap' Michael | Loading...Very bold colors... I like it alot ^_^ | |
| 13 May 2006 | Garrett | Loading...It has to be the body of a deer or a lion for it to be Kirin. Now it's just a scaly, green, flying unicorn. Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "Looks to me more like the head is lion-shaped, and body is a stylized deer shape. As it says in the description, I based this particular kirin on a horse model, so I would expect it to be more horselike than deerlike. I would also argue that the experts' interpretation is pretty horselike, too. Perhaps this or this would be more to your liking." | |
