Of course you wouldn't know she's a horsewoman if I hadn't added those horses to give this picture something of a background. I've really been trying to work on making things more contrasty, but I think I still need work in that area.

Face is really well done. You could've add a little bit more curve to her body... 10
the arms are kinda skinny, and the hand on the knee is really small. (usually two hands should be able to cover the character's face)
The pose is really nice drawn. It's relaxed and very natural. Unlike the characters I draw, who always appear to be too stiff. 10 The horses are pretty nicely done too. Great shading!

:-) Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "Well, I rather favor the small-breasted, reasonably-wide-hipped figures, but I know it's kinda hard to tell if she's wide-hipped with the pose. Also, she IS an elf, so perhaps a bit slimmer than the norm. Now that I've looked at it a bit more, I think her left leg (our right) should be a bit more curved on top, to properly represent the muscles, but eh.I don't think any of your characters seem to be all that stiff. I think it's one of my main problems, so I got lucky here! 1 Thanks!"

I dunno about the curve, corsets kinda don't curve, but whateva! I like the pose a lot her face is peeerty.

:-) Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "On second thought, are you smoking crack, where's the curve? I see a straight line...? But thankees, yah!"

(first of all, we have SOOO much in common... it's nuts....anywho... )
I really like this drawing. I love the expression on her face! She's like "you think your cute... ha!" and all smug like, but cool...cuz she knows she's cool.... The left leg was done very well.... a couple tips: Some of the shading is lagging a bit leaving some of the picture more two-dimentional than the rest... the right arm looks like it's dislocated at the elbow. A good way to fix these problems is: 1) go wild with the contrast! Make the part that should be dark darker then you would think it should be and the light part lighter than you thing is should be... 2)get yourself in the position or maybe have one of your friends get in it just to see if the angles and everything are right.
The hair is gorgeous! ANd the eyes are perfect! I never seem to make mine quite right..they always seem too big or too somethin! hehe.... Great job!
(thanks for posting on my page... drop by my lj sometime: 2of3ismine) 1

:-) Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "This was actually just a freehand sketch that decided to flesh itself out, so I'm sure the anatomical/lighting errors prevail. If I had taken this more seriously, I would have sat in front of the mirror for reference. 1Thank you for the kind words!"

Wow, Erin! Your stuff is really improving! It's been a long while since I looked your gallery up, and I am more than pleasantly surprised at how it's turning out.

:-) Erin Stevenson O'Connor replies: "Thanks! It's good to see someone who's been around long enough to notice that I've been working on putting color and backgrounds into pictures, as they should be. 1"
