SciFi and Fantasy Art Indiego [Commission] by Erin Stevenson O´Connor

This is Indiego the Ravenhorse, copyright his creator, 'Ami'. The color and composition are per her specifications: It's like a flying unicorn but has raven wings and the back feet are like the bird. He's all black with glowing blue eyes. The horn is a swirl of gold and onyx, slightly aglow itself. The front legs are hooved, and golden. As I said the back feet are like a raven's talons...it's sort of similar to that paw style you do on some of the kirins, just a bird shape! He's a 'stallion', so he'd be all muscly, like Black Beauty or something...and yet he has a very elegant air to him. For the pose I was thinking of something like a landing pose....just about ready to hit the front hooves on the ground but not quite...the wings therefore would be outspread.

He's an actual blend of a unicorn and a raven spirit. In the astral realm eleven ravens follow him around and he attracts corvid spirits to the Shadow realms.

He's supposed to be black, but I actually used very little black to get him to where he is now. The scan is a little darker than the actual picture too. Prismacolors and black ink on 8 1/2 x 11 inch sketchbook paper.

Believe me, you won't regret asking this person if you'd like her to draw something for you! A little history on Indiego...he's an actual blend of a unicorn and a raven spirit.
