Tag As FavoriteComment		Based on a sketch of a Cooper's hawk in my sketchbook and the family cat taking a nap, of course. The background is pretty simple, I know, but I like it. John says I'm crazy for liking to do that repetitive stuff. So be it. :-) I think it doesn't quite look relaxed the way it's laying there, but by the time I got around to trying to fix it, the cat had moved and I just couldn't get it right without the reference. I went with the lion-forelegs-hawk-tail on this one, because I suck at drawing talons and I saw some gryphs around Elfwood with raptor tails that I really liked.

March 2002. Black ink and Prismacolor colored pencils on sketch paper.

This crap irritates me. If the Epilogue editors think they are objective, they're delusional. So this http://www.epilogue.net/cgi/database/art/view.pl?id=12052&genre=2 is "Epilogue quality" but the above isn't.

That is just so adorable! You did a really good job on it, I love the way the colours just seem to meld together. All the light colours seem to give it a more 'innocent' appearance, but I absolutely love it. Just so adorable. =^-^=
