SciFi and Fantasy Art Storybook Kirin by Erin Stevenson O´Connor

I was going for a bit of an Art Nouveau feel here. I had fun coloring this one, though I think if I had to color it again, I'd choose different colors. I'm happy with how this turned out, though of course in scanning it and compressing it for the file size limits some of the brightness was lost. And the sky is still too grainy. I know I could fix that in Photoshop if I really wanted to, but I spent so much time coloring it that it just irritates me that the scan killed it.

March 2002. Black ink and Prismacolor colored pencils on sketch paper.

22 Jul 2003	Anonymous	Loading... I love the picture and the background is fantastic! I especially like the scales that you add on your unicorns, it makes them seem half dragon! The feathers on the hooves seem a little off, but the picture really is lovely!
