The comments about the shadows though is right on. It's tough to create two seperate images in different programs and get them to blend together. I even see this problem in movies with real actors and computer generated images. So don't feel bad, it's a tough thing to do. You might try a less difficult lighting effect next time. This has to many light sources to deal with. Somethign like this can only be done with reference material to look at. But keep at it. Your doing a great job so far.

Their ears seem to be pointy, are the elven? And did you do each one or just duplicated one image? The inn background is awesome.

I love how the inside is warm tones and very nice, but my favorite part by FAR is how you can see out the window into the mountains... I don't know why, I guess I just like landscapes like that. The window was the perfect detail to put in. I feel like just sitting here and staring at it...

Just give them shadows to match those ofthe furnituyre, and add a second highlight in an orangy color on their right side to reflect the light from the torches, and you're all set! Great picture otherwise, though

| 23 Dec 2002 | Anna Olender | Loading...Cute the rendered bg is awsome, esp like the windows and the warm lighting scheme.. The two guys are well done, the look son their faces says mischief all over, my only quirk is that the arms look a bit off, esp on the one to the left, the upper arm seems a bit long while the lower arm is short, both with respect to the body.. But otherwise it is a good picture, and the two piece, the rendered and drawn, blend extremely well.. Nice work! | |
| 16 Jun 2007 | Lupai-kin | Loading...This is amazing! I pretty much want to know what program you did your 3D rendering in. I would ask how you put your hand-drawn characters in it, but I suspect it would make my head spin. Wow. Mark Stijnman replies: "The rendering program used was Bryce3D. The integration was quite simple: the drawing had its background masked out and was applied as a texture to a rectangle. This rectangle was then placed inside the scene and rendered along with the rest. " | |
